Mississippi State will attempt to make it two in a row today taking on Bethune-Cookman for their third consecutive game at Humphrey Coliseum.
The Bulldogs are 1-1 on the year and are coming off quick turnaround with a 82-67 win over Southeastern Louisiana Thursday night. It will be the first ever meeting between the two schools with tipoff scheduled for 6 p.m.
While MSU has never faced the Wildcats on the court, they do hold a 3-0 record against teams from the Mid-Eastern Atlantic Conference. The last time the Bulldogs faced a MEAC opponent was a 104-80 win over Florida A&M in 2004.
State comes into tonight's game shooting 43.5-percent on the year and averaging 78 points a game. The Bulldogs are knocking down 38.5-percent from the outside as well as 70-percent from the free throw line. They have outrebounded their opponents by eight this season and are surrendering 77.5 points per contest.
