Wright could end things soon
For those who watched the Class 4A-Division II state title game in person at Cowboys Stadium or on television, it was an impressive show of offensive might as Aledo (Texas) defeated La Marque (Texas) by a score of 69-34. Though five-star Aledo running back Johnathan Gray came into the game with all the hype, and justifiably so as he rushed for eight touchdowns that night, La Marque had their own back put on a big performance.
Tim Wright missed the end of the regular season and beginning of the playoffs with a broken foot but rebounded to rush for 202 yards and two touchdowns in the final. A lot of recruiting fans took notice of the 5-foot-10, 185-pound junior that night and so did college coaches. He is now up to a handful of early offers.
