Green-Beckham Shows Why He is No. 1
SPRINGFIELD, MO - Nine catches for 181-yards and two touchdowns, that's a solid start to the season for even quality receivers. However for the nation's No. 1 player, Dorial Green-Beckham, it was just another first half in Springfield Hillcrest's 31-21 win over traditional Missouri power Camdenton.
The 6-foot-6, 220-pound prospect finished the game with 12-catches for 215-yards and the same two scores.
Clearly it was the first half that saw him dominate the game but most would expect that of a player with his size, speed, and natural talent - the thing that made his performance special was the variety of ways in which he attacked the Lakers defense. Green-Beckham on the day showed about everything a receiver could hope to; the ability to move in open space, field-stretching speed, an ability to make plays in the air, and a level of comfort with a wide spread collection of routes.
