Adams enjoys MSU atmosphere
With Brandon (Miss.) having an open date last week it allowed three-star defensive end Nelson Adams to attend Mississippi State's Thursday night matchup with LSU.
Although the Bulldogs went down in defeat that game, the MSU commitment was impressed with what he saw from his future defensive teammates and the fans inside Davis Wade Stadium.
"I thought it was a great atmosphere," Adams said. "The crowd was real loud. I think the defense played good."
The Bulldogs were the first and only school to offer the 6-foot-5, 260-pounder. Early on during his recruitment Adams was also receiving interest from Alabama, Memphis, Ole Miss and Southern Miss but after making his commitment in early June those programs backed off.
Adams was very prepared for the recruiting process having just seen his older brother Tyler Adams go through it this past year as a four-star basketball center who signed with Georgetown and will begin his freshman campaign in November.
