Sooners High On Sherman Oaks Signal Caller

With knowledge that his every move would be under a microscope earlier this month at the Army National Junior Combine Sherman Oaks (Calif.) Notre Dame pro-style quarterback Kelly Hilinksi showed up in San Antonio excited for the process.

Already having received interest from programs like Oklahoma and Stanford the 6-foot-5, 190-pound signal caller did nothing but back up the chatter of why some of the more premier national programs are gaining interest.

Following a junior season in which he threw for nearly 2,000 yards Hilinski admits he's familiar with the Oklahoma program and more importantly quarterback's coach Josh Heupel.

"It was great. It was actually a miscommunication of the one day camp. I came in too early for the one day camp and I actually got to work with coach Heupel and coach Stoops before the actual camp and it was great exposure," said Hilinksi.

"I loved the vibe they had during the camp. It felt great. It felt comfortable. It felt really good."

And like a summer ago his upcoming spring and summer will prove to go a long way as he'll travel the camp circuit as well as making unofficial visits to Oklahoma and Stanford.
