In this day and age of college recruiting too early seems to be never early enough.

Last week SCOOP HD caught one of the state's more impressive sophomores in Clinton (Okla.) athlete Marquiz Simpkins.

At 5-foot-11, 177-pounds Simpkins leads a rushing attack for Mike Lee's Red Tornadoes as they look to return to the class 4A state championship.
