When Bob Stoops left Florida to take the head coaching job at Oklahoma in 1999 he knew a massive rebuilding job of the football program was in order.

A once proud program had fallen. Fourteen years later Stoops and his Sooners enter the last weekend of regular season play in line for a shot at their No. 8 conference title when they take on Texas Christian Saturday morning.

Tuesday afternoon Stoops younger brother- Mark Stoops- took his first step in making a name for himself as a head coach in being named the successor for Joker Phillips at Kentucky.
