Sooners New OL Coach Picks up Lundblade
It was right around National Signing Day for the 2013 class that the Sooners began to get in contact with Argyle (Texas) Liberty Christian School offensive guard, Brad Lundblade. Shortly before some coaching changes in Norman the Sooners were letting the 6-foot-3 and 290-pound prospect know that they could use another Liberty Christian player, referring to former Oklahoma center, Ben Habern in Norman again and that he would like him to come up for a visit.
Once Bruce Kittle and James Patton were replaced by Bill Bedenbaugh, the newly hired coach picked right up where the former Sooner coach had left off and got in contact with Lundblade, letting him know he still wanted him to come up for a visit. Just over a week ago the private school interior offensive lineman took that trip up I-35 along with his dad to see Oklahoma again after having already been to Norman before, last summer during the summer camp.
"We went up there and we sat in on a position meeting, they were just watching film from practice a few days before," Lundblade stated. "Then we went out on the practice field and it was cool I liked it."
