Oklahoma's best will be watching
In the past few years the Oklahoma-Oklahoma State match-up hasn't been one that has seen players from within state borders sway one way another so much as give either the Sooners or Cowboys a leg up in the Dallas metroplex, an area vital to both programs. However, the much anticipated Bedlam match-up of 2006 could be an entirely different story; affecting, as usual, Dallas, but also a heavy crop of young in-state talent as well as a few key components off the 2006 class.
The state's top two remaining players are Tulsa Union offensive tackle Matt Romine and Millwood four-star athlete Gerald Jones. The 6-foot-6, 285-pound Romine has all but eliminated the Cowboys from consideration, but Jones is still very much involved with both in-state schools and plans to be at this year's Bedlam match-up.
