Junior day a big success for OU
Much has been made about the potential of the class of 2008 for the Oklahoma Sooners, but Saturday was the first time for many of the potential members of the class to spend some time together and see just how things might add up. With many of the nation's top players in Norman on Saturday even Bobby Knight couldn't upstage the 2008 movement.
Players like Jameel Owens and Justin Johnson had spoken before, but had never had a face to face meeting until Saturday when the two toured all of Oklahoma's campus.
The group started their day with a meeting with the entire Oklahoma coaching staff and proceeded to go through Oklahoma's various athletic and academic facilities.
"This was my first time up here, it was top shelf all the way," Bret Shugarts, father of J.B. Shugarts said. "J.B. had been up here before but it was my first time on campus."
