Cave pulls double duty
For Notre Dame commitment Braxston Cave, two-a-days started a little early this year.
The 6-foot-4, 295-pound offensive lineman from Mishawaka, Ind., took part in Notre Dame's summer camp Monday morning and later that night he worked out with his team as they prepare for the 2007 season.
Despite the double duty, Cave couldn't pass up the opportunity to work with his future coaches.
"I got to work one-on-one with coach (John) Latina," Cave said. "It was good."
Among the 650 participants were several other Irish commitments including John Goodman and Brandon Newman, who left on Sunday. Mike Golic also has been spotted on campus while his brother, Jake, is participating in the camp.
