For the longest time many assumed that if there was one player that Oklahoma would have to fight to get out of Muskogee it would be four-star defensive tackle Stacey McGee. In spite of a close friendship with 2007 Oklahoma signee Jontae Bumpus, and Sooner defensive line coach Jackie Shipp's long relationship with the area many felt the Sooners would be fighting an uphill battle.
