Coaches flocking to see Lyndell Johnson
There are not many prospects in the state of Texas, much less the country, that have the numbers of Plano East safety Lyndell Johnson. They include a 6-foot-3, 195-pound frame, a 4.46-second 40-yard dash and a 33-inch vertical jump. They also include 72 tackles and three interceptions last season in helping the Panthers end a multi-year playoff drought last season.
Throw in the fact that he scored a 1680 out of 2400 on the SAT and you have the definition of a national recruit. That is evidenced by his list of offers which includes not only in-state programs such as Texas A&M, TCU and Texas Tech but also the likes of Nebraska, Notre Dame, Arizona, Arkansas, Minnesota and Wake Forest. It's also evidenced by the fact that 10 schools came by Plano East's practices last week alone to see Johnson.
