Cats seek revenge against Buffaloes

BOULDER, Colo. -- When the Kansas State Wildcats review many of the problems they are facing in terms of the Big 12 standings and their tenuous situation concerning a bid to the NCAA Tournament, many of those issues can be traced back to Jan. 12, 2011. That's when the Colorado Buffaloes came to Manhattan, Kan., and beat the Wildcats, 74-66. Take away that loss, and much changes about the perception of the Wildcats. K-State would be 17-7 overall and 5-4 in conference play, which would leave it tied for fourth place. Instead, K-State is 16-8, 4-5 and fighting for their spot in the Big 12 pecking order as well as sweating a bid to the Big Dance.
