After monster game Dixon visits his top school, Tech

STRONG, Ark. - Kenneth Dixon is starting to make a name for himself throughout the Southeastern United States and the great thing for Louisiana Tech fans is that he will be in attendance this Saturday when the Bulldogs open up the home schedule against Central Arkansas.

The 5-11, 210-pound Strong-Huttig running back is coming off of a mind-blowing 15 carry, 305-yard, five-touchdown performance in a 55-29 win last week. A three-star prospect according to the latest Rivals.com rankings, Dixon was rated as the seventh-best overall prospect in the pre-season rankings of the State of Arkansas and already has scholarship offers on the table from Tech, Arkansas State, Central Arkansas, Louisiana-Monroe, Memphis and Missouri State.

"I'm making an unofficial visit this weekend," Dixon said. "I will be there for the game on Saturday and I am looking forward to it. I have a couple of teammates coming down with me along with some friends so I figured I would make the trip and see what Tech is all about with my own eyes.

"The coaching staff (at Tech) sent me a letter wanting me to come down and make an unofficial trip. Getting a ride with a couple of teammates so it will be a fun trip. Louisiana Tech is still my number one team; they are at the top of my list. I don't see myself committing or anything this weekend, I think it is going to take a little more time of me just finding out more information about the schools I'm interested in including Louisiana Tech. I do want to see what kind of offense Tech runs with my own eyes out on the field. That is going to be a very big thing that I'm looking for this weekend."

Averaging 20.3 yards per carry in the big win last week, Dixon said it was one of those games where everything just came together.

"You gotta give all the credit to the offensive line up front man," Dixon said. "They were blocking hard. They were the one responsible for opening up all the holes. All I had to do was go through the holes and make the big plays. I was able to break a couple to the house so it was just a big game and a great day. I have had a game like that before but this was a great game. We won, so that is all that really matters."
