Bivin takes in second Big House experience
Owensboro (Ky.) Apollo junior offensive lineman Hunter Bivin made his second trip of the fall to Ann Arbor over the weekend. He had previously seen Michigan defeat San Diego State, and the rivalry atmosphere against Ohio State was just a little bit different.
The 6-7, 288-pound Bivin already has impressive size with another year of high school to go. However, despite an O-line MVP performance at Notre Dame's summer camp prior to his junior year, Bivin's only offer comes from in-state Kentucky. That could change soon, when Bivin sends out his highlight film.
Michigan's coaches are among those waiting for a highlight film from Bivin. He got the chance to talk to offensive line coach Darrell Funk and linebackers coach Mark Smith (the area recruiter for Kentucky) during his visit to Ann Arbor, and they want to see how he performed in the second half of his season.
Kentucky, Auburn, Wisconsin, Vanderbilt, and Notre Dame have also received visits from Bivin this year, and he is doing his due diligence to explore every school that has shown interest. Michigan has shown well in his trips to campus.
When offers start rolling in, Bivin has some tough decision to make, but Michigan's showings have the Wolverines standing tall in his recruitment.
