A balancing act for 4-star JUCO WR

Most prospects in the 2013 class will have until Feb. 6 to make their decisions.

But for midyear junior college transfer Jonathon Rumph the choice will have to come much sooner. The four-star wide receiver from Holmes (Miss.) Community College has offers from some of the nation's top programs and is balancing the recruiting process in the middle of his season and final junior college semester.

"Recruiting is still going real strong," Rumph said. "I'm going to have to come up with a decision now or later but I'm juggling school, practice and recruiting and all that. If you let it get to you it can be stressful but you've got to be humble and not put so much pressure on yourself because it's not a bad problem to have."

Rumph holds scholarships from Arkansas, Georgia, Louisiana Tech, LSU, Mississippi State, Nebraska, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Tennessee and West Virginia.

The 6-foot-5, 215-pounder has already officially visited Mississippi State, Ole Miss and Tennessee and three schools - Arkansas, Georgia and Texas Tech - remain in the mix for the final two trips. He plans to take all of his official visits before making a decision.

Rumph visited MSU on Sept. 7 for the Bulldogs 28-10 win over Auburn and left impressed with what he saw.
