ISU knows there's something about Marry

Three-star Largo (Fla.) linebacker Mike Marry has seen his scholarship offer total crest above two dozen and now with the fall here and his senior season about the start, the 6-foot-3, 210-pound prospect wants to start narrowing his list. Out of those 25+ scholarship offers, Marry knows of a few teams who will make the cut.

"I'm trying to get it narrowed down within the next week or so, maybe to five or ten. I think I have 26 or 27 (offers) right now." Marry said. "I'll be (looking at) academics, the way the coaches run the team and what the environment is like."

Central Florida and Michigan are two teams Marry listed that he was sure would make the cut. Another he is pretty confident of staying at the top of his list is Iowa State.

"I think they will be in there too," Marry said. "I like Iowa State. My friend Leonard Johnson goes there and he said they take care of him pretty good, treat him nice and help him with everything he needs to get prepared to play early. He had [six] tackles in his first game."

Once Marry is able to narrow his list he will start to take a look at setting official visits. He does not plan to make a decision, however, until December or January at the earliest.
