One Game Video Snapshot: Donald Spencer

During Thanksgiving week is running a series of one-game highlight video clips on several Michigan State commitments from the Class of 2009. Each day we will feature a different future Spartan. Each of highlights comes from a single game as opposed to an entire season. The footage was shot over the course of the 2008 football season by staffer Rico Beard and other freelancers.

The highlights in today's installment of's Thanksgiving week series One Game Video Snapshots feature four-star wide receiver Donald Spencer, who was one of the first Michigan State commitments in the Class of 2009.

At 6-foot-4, the 197-pound Spencer has drawn comparisons to former Michigan State standout and current New York Giants star Plaxico Burress. Like Burress, Spencer is a big-bodied receiver who runs well for his size. He also relishes putting defensive players on their backside. When Spencer has a chance to finish a block, he brings the wood.

Ranked the No. 8 player in Michigan for 2009 by, Spencer is ranked the No. 34 overall receiver in the senior class.

The highlights in embedded in this story come from Ypsilanti's season finale against Dexter. Spencer and his teammates left the field with a 31-9 victory.
