The 2009-10 championship season continues at the Creek and the conference continues to display its strength in autumn sports as call fouls on teams with fewer fouls or teams who are leading.
In football, sophomore kicker Alex Zendejas was named as the conference's special teams player of the week.
In volleyball, Wazzu was invited to the NCAA Women's Volleyball Tournament where they will play Northern Iowa in a first round match in Lincoln, Nebraska and head coach Andrew Palileo was named as the conference's Coach of the Year.
In football, the Cougars lost to rival Washington and finished the season 1-11 overall and winless in conference play at 0-9.
In women's hoop, the Cougars lost to Boise State but defeated Bradley to move to 2-3 overall on the season.
In men's hoop, Wazzu defeated Alaska-Anchorage, Nicholls State and San Diego at the Great Alaska Shootout to remain undefeated on the year at 6-0 and sophomore guard Klay Thompson was named as the conference's player of the week.
In women's soccer, the Cardinal defeated Boston College to advance to the Final Four of the NCAA Women's Soccer Championship.
In men's hoop, center Drew Gordon has left the team and indicated he intends to transfer.
In football, junior linebacker Malcolm Smith was named as the conference's defensive players of the week.
In women's volleyball, senior outside hitter Hana Cutura was named as the player of the year.
In men's hoop, the Sun Devils defeated Arkansas-Pine Bluff to improve to 6-1 overall on the year.
In women's hoop, the Beavers Northern Arizona to improve to 4-1 overall on the year.
In women's volleyball, Washington will play Northern Colorado in a first round match in the NCAA tournament.
In women's volleyball, senior outside hitter Sonja Newcombe was named as the conference's player of the week.
