Gallimore Doubles Number of Rivals100 Commits

SAN ANTONIO - For months and months Katy, Texas running back Rodney Anderson has been Oklahoma's most highly rated commitment but with just weeks to go until National Signing Day on Feb. 4 his crown was stolen on the floor of the Alamodome.
The title was taken by St. Catharine's (Ont.) Canada Prep Football Academy defensive end Neville Gallimore just moments ago when the nation's No. 72 overall player chose the Sooners over other top suitors Ohio State and Florida State.

"I'm going to be playing at the university of Oklahoma," Gallimore said during his first quarter announcement in the Alamo city.
Gallimore, a 6-foot-3, 303-pound prospect is the nation's No. 9 strongside defensive end and marks Oklahoma's most highly rated defensive end commitment since R.J. Washington of Keller (Texas) Fossil Ridge in 2008.
The defensive end's season was cut short in the third game of the year due to a still undisclosed injury but in the first game of the year against Lowell, Mich. he had eight tackles and three sacks.
Rivals.com's Josh Helmholdt had a chance to see Gallimore in the game and talked about his impressive performance.
"He is so big at 6-foot-3, and 300-plus pounds but he runs like a linebacker, he was probably the fastest kid on the field and also the biggest," Helmholdt said. "He has both elite quickness and elite power, so he is going to be extremely difficult to handle for teams."
