Getting Moore of a Feel
In February, for the first time since 2012, no Tulsa Union Redskin signed a FBS letter of intent and while that run is already clearly set to end in 2017 the 2018 group boasts a trio of of highly thought of prospects at 71st and Mingo. One of those headliners is early Rivals100 wide receiver C.J. Moore who admits to growing up loving one in-state football program.
Moore's Take
"I've already visited OU and TCU. TCU was pretty nice. That went very well! It was very personal. The coaches were pretty cool and upbeat and positive," Moore said. "And they run a spread offense.
"There's a lot that stood out but on the academic level; they have the highest graduation rate in the Big 12. From a football standpoint probably they travel 3 deep in each wide receiver spot.
"Oklahoma was a little more intense since it was a practice but they were hype. And they treated me like a part of the team even though it was just a visit. They just said I'm welcomed to come anytime and they want me to come to there camp."
"I probably (won't go). Because if I have a bad day such as a 40 or shuttle, stuff like that it will hurt me. So I don't want to mess anything up."
Though he has seen a few Big 12 South powers recently there is another that has always had his attention.
"(I grew up an) OSU (fan), my whole room is orange," he admitted. "(If they offer) I'll be very happy but (I'm going to) stay humble and keep grinding. I don't plan on committing for a while until I visit everywhere there is a possibility of me playing.
"Yeah I'm going to make sure I pick the right school for my education then football."
"I'm planning to major in architecture and construction. I love math and drawing."
Next on the Schedule
Moore plans to go to Oklahoma State, Texas A&M, UTSA, and 'whoever else wants me to but those three (for sure)'.
