Robinson Doing It All

HOUSTON, Texas - Oklahoma four-star wide receiver commitment Jaylon Robinson is used to dominating opponents but last Friday provided a rare opportunity to do it against a public school in the Houston area - Pearland Shadow Creek.

He took full advantage of that opportunity putting up six receptions for 100-yards as well as a lengthy kickoff return that was negated by a penalty in Ft. Worth All Saints's 46-16 win.

Robinson did what you'd expected, he flashed great short area burst and the ability to shake one defender after another. He also showed some ability to make tough catches in traffic, the kinds of catches that will be important for him as a slot receiver in Oklahoma's offense.

He, as mentioned, showed ability as a return man but what was truly surprising was how well he worked as a defender for the Saints in their 'Cheetah' package. In the package Robinson works as a linebacker and often spied Shadow Creek's explosive running quarterback Jamarian George.
