SCOOP HD: Breaking Down The Mystery Commit

With the release of Friday's 'Sooner Scoop' word got out early Friday afternoon that Oklahoma was back involved with one-time prime target Dakota Austin of Lancaster, Texas. The 5-foot-10, 170-pound defensive back from the same program that produced Sooners Demontre Hurst and Quentin Hayes among many others would send Austin to Norman for an official visit on the final week before the class of 2013's National Signing Day - Feb. 6.
Just 24 hours later word got out that Oklahoma had elected to make an official scholarship offer to Austin and that it was immediately accepted by the talented cornerback who held offers from Nevada, UNLV, Indiana, Texas Tech, Tulsa, and Utah State among many others.
"Yes sir, he committed," said Lancaster recruiting coordinator Joey Foster.
The offer may have come late but many thought that it was a possibility last summer when Austin put on an impressive performance during Oklahoma's annual early June summer camp.
SoonerScoop.com was on hand with SCOOPHD video cameras and brings you some exclusive footage of Oklahoma's No. 22 commitment in the 2013 class.

We'll have much more from Austin, and during Oklahoma's junior day through the next 24 hours.
