Every game is important this time of the year. In college basketball's top conference five teams now sit battling for postseason position behind Kansas.
On Saturday Oklahoma made the most of defending home court making for a long afternoon for Kansas State. Entering the contest Bruce Weber's Wildcats ranked in the top ten nationally in three point field goal defense. By halftime every Sooner that logged minutes had scored a basket. 18 of its 28 baskets were assisted by an Oklahoma player and five different players hit a basket from behind the arc.
A Buddy Hield jumper with just under ten minutes left gave Oklahoma a 27 point lead. It's largest lead of the season.
Hield (18) along with Isaiah Cousins (17), Cameron Clark (11), and Jordan Woodard (10) scored in double figures scoring the most points (86) Kansas State had allowed all season.
