Sooners and Longhorns get going in Dallas
OU and Texas are just minutes away from getting started in Dallas. Carey Murdock is high atop the stadium providing the latest analysis for today's Red River Rivalry.
* National anthem is over. less than 8 minutes to go. Players haven't come out of tunnel yet. It's about to go down.

* Patrick O'Hara is just standing on the sideline with the rest of the walkons.
* Captains are out on the field ready for coin toss.
* Horns have come out onto the field.
* OU in the tunnel now. Ed Harris' voice fills the Cotton Bowl.
* OU has been noticeably fired up for this one ever since pregame warmups. They were doing things almost at full speed. They came out of the tunnel fired up. No one seems to be more fired up than Aaron Colvin.
* Captains coming to the middle of the field.
* Trey Metoyer standing next to Landry jones as he warms up.
* The Sooners will get the ball to start the game. Texas wins toss and defers to second half. OU takes ball.
* Looks like Clay and Finch will return the kickoff. No Jalen Saunders.

TOUCHBACK. SOONERS TAKE OVER POSSESSSION AT THEIR OWN 25-YARD LINE
* Sooners start game with Ripkowski and Millard on field. Williams runs for a short gain. Sooners bring Metoyer in game for Rip to go with Stills and Brown at WR.
* Jones get all day to throw on 3rd adown and hits Trey Metoyer for a big gain. OU now at the UT 48-yard line after pass to Stills. OU really going up tempo to start the game.
* Lane Johnson lined up on Jackson Jeffcoat early. Belldozer comes in on 3rd-and-1 and picks up about six yards.
* Belldozer stays in on 1st down and picks up a few yards. Steve Edmond, UT middle linebacker is down on the play.
* Looks like a right knee injury to Edmond. Probably pretty serious.
* Jalen Saunders is in the game on offense for Oklahoma.
* Landry lines up under center and hands off to Williams for a five-yard gain. 2nd-and-5 at UT 15-yard line.
* Trey Millard gets blown up as the lead blocker and Williams loses four yards on 2nd down.
* Lots of confusion as Bronson Irwin is on teh table getting his ankel re-taped. OU had too many OL on the field with the Belldozer in on 4th-and-1. They have now gone through two timeouts.
* OU has six offensive linemen. Belldozer picks up the first down easily. Now 1st-and-goal from the 8-yard line. Belldozer still in.
* Belldozer goes around the right side for a touchdown. He ran over a UT defender. Mykkele Thompson.
* Way messed up snap and Hunnicutt tries to kick it anyway. It's blocked and UT returns it for two points.
* Total weirdness. Any hopes Mike Stoops had for a shutout is over.

TEXAS FIRST POSSESSION STARTS AT THEIR OWN 29-YARD LINE
* Ash's first pass tipped at the line of scrimmage by Corey Nelson. Tom Wort does get the start at LB.
* Ash makes a bad read on the zone read and Tony Jefferson comes up and throws him for a three-yard loss. 3rd-and-13 for the Longhorns.
* R.J. Washington gets pressure on Ash and he barely gets the pass off. 3-and-out for Texas to start this one.
SOONERS SECOND POSSESSION BEGINS FROM THEIR OWN 22-YARD LINE AFTER PUNT
* Looks like Irwin was back in on last touchdown, but he's good to go on this drive as well.
* Landry Jones was 5-for-5 for 45 yards on the Sooners first drive.
* Williams stuffed on first down. He's being patient, but blocks just aren't developing on that front line.
* Sooners bring in Saunders on third-down and Texas calls a timeout. They didn't care much for that formation. OU shuffled a lot of players in and out before that third down.
* Ball tipped at line of scrimmage and OU goes three and out.
TEXAS SECOND POSSESSION STARTS AT THE UT 22-YARD LINE
* Frank Shannon in at middle linebacker for Wort. Makes first tackle on a four-yard run by UT.
* Wort back in on second down and UT stuffed for just a yard.
* Wort out on third down. Aaron Franklin in the game. Julian Wilson defends and makes tackle before receiver can get first down. Another three-and-out for UT offense.

* Tom Wort recovers a Jonathan Gray fumble. Sooners take over. Looks like this play might be overturned. Looked like Gray's knee was down and then Jamarkus McFarland poked it out.

* OU trying to establish the line of scrimmage up front. Texas is still holding strong at times.

END OF THE FIRST HALF
* Seriously, that last bit of instant analysis sucked, but this thing is over.
* David Ash is the only college QB I've ever seen that was called for intentional grounding when he threw a pass 40 yards down field and in bounds.
* Then he lofted one up right before half to about four Sooners with no Longhorns around.
* Sooner fans are wondering why they ever criticized Landry Jones after watching Ash for a half.
START OF THE SECOND HALF
* Longhorns take over on 25-yard line after touchback. Pick up second first down of the game.
* Obvious Mike Stoops is looking more at Aaron Franklin this game as a third down blitzer and LB along with Frank Shannon.
Tom Wort has played a lot and done a lot of good things. OU's defensive front has been outstanding today. Best they've played in two years from the defensive tackle position.
SOONERS FIRST POSSESSION OF SECOND HALF BEGINS AT THE 15-YARD LINE
* Roy Finch on the play that was a fumble against KState. This time it actually goes for a five-yard gain.
* Landry throws a pick six to Texas. Mike Stoops still hasn't given up a score in this game.

SOONERS BACK ON OFFENSE
* Another great play call from Josh Heupel on 3rd-and-long. Screen pass to Williams that just nets a first down. Texas overly aggressive getting to Landry. They've paid for it a few times today.
* Dom Whaley makes his first appearance of the RRR.
* Sooners back to opening huge holes on the offense line. Damien Williams just runs for another first down.
* Michael Hunnicutt on for a 36-yard field goal and it is good.

* Landry makes a great throw to Justin Brown and he almost made an amazing, juggling catch. Sooners have to punt instead.

* Doesn't look like they are giving up on Ash anytime soon.

* David Ash is great at getting away from pressure. He's terrible at just about everything else.

* I missed Jalen Saunders first reception because I had to shake the doo off the lily. (I don't know what that means but that one kid said it in Kenny Rodgers' movie Six Pack).
* Scary scene down on field right now. UT DT Brandon Moore doesn't appear to be moving at all. He's been strapped to a board and then a gurney.
Entire UT coaching staff was out there. No one has seen him move.
* I saw Jalen Saunders' second catch and it was a good one. OU down to the UT 25-yard line. It was 3rd-and-10 and OU converted.
* Jones hits a wide open Trey Millard down the seam and he runs in for a 25-yard TD.

* Ash has just never been able to get comfortable today for UT. Even when he's had time, he's rushed some throws.

* Texas picks up its fifth first down. This one is starting to wind toward its conclusion with 12:13 to go. Mack Brown post game should be really interesting.
* This weekend should be really good for pics too. We had Lyndsay Lee from Rivals/Yahoo!Sports taking pics for us today along with Eddie having his first chance to shoot video from field level at OU-TX.
* Part of that means I have to get out of here a little bit early and head over to postgame.
*I'll also being doing postgame locker room show today on WWLS back at the Wyndam Suites or whatever the Crown Plaza is called now. But Eddie will be getting video cut up and get Bob's presser up ASAP.
* Give it up to Mike Stoops today. Great defensive performance. Texas couldn't get anything going and Ash never got comfortable.
* On the other side, I can't believe how bad Texas is as a tackling team. They are just about as bad ass I've seen this season.
* The front four also did a trememdous job providing pressure up front. Tom Wort played really well today and so did Tony Jefferson.
* Landry continues to progress throwing to different receivers.
* OU has also had some vicious hits on defense today.
