Sooners in Final Six for 5-Star

Okudah Announced his Final Six on Monday Night (Rivals.com)

On Monday night the nation's No. 9 overall player Jeffrey Okudah made his long awaited cut to his list, putting out a top six. And unlike many numerous announcements the No. 1 safety in the country says that the six programs - Clemson, Florida State, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Georgia, and USC - he is still considering are the only schools he will be considering going forward.

As Okudah told SCOOPHD in early June he made the announcement on his mother's birthday and though Ohio State has long been the expected favorite, he talked about that perception in that same conversation.

"Maybe just because I don't post more on social media, so what I do post might be Ohio State a lot. That might be a common conception, I'm still looking for the best school, I want to make the best choice," Okudah said almost a month ago.

During that conversation he also made mention, for the first time, of something that has been a common theme in his conversations about Oklahoma - who he visited again on June 23.

"Every time I go there, I feel like I'm at home. It feels like my high school or something," he explained.
