Sooners Pull an SEC Steal

Just over a month ago Shawnee, Okla. offensive lineman Creed Humphrey pulled a considerable surprise by choosing Texas A&M over the school he grew up cheering for, Oklahoma. The Eastern Oklahoma big man visited Oklahoma frequently, even just before his commitment to the Aggies on June 29, but was sold on the academics available in College Station, Texas.

"The main thing that sold me on A&M was the education and the networking of graduates they have in the business world. I have still been hearing from other schools since committing," Humphrey said a few weeks ago to AggieYell.com.

The 6-foot-4, 290-pound had numerous offers including from the likes of Alabama, Texas, Missouri, and Arizona State amongst many others.

What was it that sold him on staying to play for his long-time favorite school?

"I've been thinking about it for a while now, and I feel that my heart is leading me to stay home and play for OU," Humphrey said.

More on this big story, with more from Humphrey, coming shortly.
