Sooners take on KState
Sooner defense will take the field to start.

* Trevor Knight runs the ball for OU's first play of the game.
* Wow! That was a hell of a pass from Knight. Just gunned it on the run to Saunders. A 15-yard completion.
* I'm sure it shows on TV but you can clearly see the player's breath up here in the pressbox. It's cold.
* Another great pass from Trevor Knight. 22-yard completion to Durron Neal OU at the KSU 9-yard line.

KSTATE TAKES OVER AT 25 YARD LINE
* Daniel Sams will take his crack at the OU defense for KSU.
* Jordan Wade does a nice job fighting through a block and tackling Sams after a three yard gain.
* KState brings Waters back into the game and OU gets pressure again. Pass incomplete. Sooners playing well early on both sides of the ball.
OU TO TAKE OVER AT OWN 42-YARD LINE
* Sooners spread the Wildcats way, way out with receivers on the numbers and Trevor Knight pulls it down and runs for a huge gain. Wide open spaces during that 21-yard run.
* Knight turns around and throws an interception.
* Knight underthrows Saunders and KSU intercepts and returns to their own 31-yard line.
KANSAS STATE BALL AT THEIR OWN 31-YARD LINE
* Just a bad throw by Knight. I'm not reading anymore into it than that.
* More surprising aspect of game so far is KSU's inability to open up running room on OU defense.
* Colvin misses a tackle on Lockett and pass breaks for 22-yard gain.
* Colvin not playing the entire game. Cortez Johnson is playing on other downs for run defense. Interesting decision by Mike Stoops.
* Sooners have so many guys waiting on the sidelines to switch between Sams and Waters. It's looking complicated.
* Sooners wait until Waters changes play and then switches defensive front. Striker able to sack Waters for a 7-yard loss. KSU must punt.

KSU PUNTS DOWN TO THE OU 2-YARD LINE
* Trevor Knight just goes Johnny Football and fakes a defender into giving him a first down.
* I can get down with this version of Trevor Knight. He's opening up the running game with the threat of his run game. I've never seen the OU offense operate quite this well out of the zone read. It's impressive to watch.
* I predicted this week Brennan Clay would have a big game without Damien Williams available. He's just run really well out of the zone read. He's having a terrific day early.
END OF THE FIRST QUARTER
* Brenna Clay had 9 carries for 45 yards in the first quarter.
* OU back at work all the way to the KSU 35-yard line.
* A QB sneak by the OU offense.
* Dionte Savage came in the game on short-yardage. Roy Finch now in the game at RB.
* Trevor Knight runs for 20. This offense with Knight is actually evolving into something it hasn't been all season.
* Knight runs for a TD. 8-yard TD. Just a zone read play that he faked to Finch. It came wide open for him.

* Sooners have dodged two deep pass bullets on defense today. Quentin Hayes just knocks away a pass to Lockett that would have set the Wildcats up deep in OU territory.
* Then the next pass OU defense has a total bust that has Lockett wide open for a TD.
* This gameplan Mike Stoops is running is very complicated. That complication led to confusion on that play. 48 yard TD pass.

OU TAKES OVER AT THE 25-YARD LINE
* Knight goes rollout and throws it away on first down. Kind of something we haven't seen him do a lot.
* KSU seems to be adjusting to Knight a bit here. It's 3rd-and-4.
* Knight tipped at line of scrimmage, still caught by Saunders, but short of first down.
KSU'S LOCKETT JUST KILLING OU
* You don't have to be a rocket scientist or an NFL coach to realize OU's secondary is getting killed right now by Tyler Lockett. He has two long TD catches to tie the game 14-14.
OU TAKES OVER AT 27 yard line
* At 14-14, Knight is going to have to get back to throwing the football again to soften up this KSU defense.
* Brennan Clay's 64-yard TD run puts OU back up 21-14.
* Brennan Clay now has 15 rushes for 139 yards and 1 TD.
I CAN'T EVEN KEEP UP
* Zach Sanchez just lets Lockett run right past him again. 90-yard TD pass.

OU BACK WITH THE BALL
* Knight makes a beautiful throw to Sterling Shepard to pick up a first down.
* OU now facing a third-and-three at the KSU 7-yard line.
* Sooners pick up first down and then lose yardage on next play. 2nd-and-Goal from the 8-yard line.
* Only :21 remaining in half so Sooners have to call a timeout.
* OU OLine just got blown up on that first down run.
* Knight gets sacked. Sooners didn't go out there with two plays and now they spike it so they can kick. Sooners wasted a try at the endzone.

* Covlin was matchup up with Lockett on that reception. He seems to be going where he goes in the second half.
* KSU has made one of their best drives of the day on some key Waters throws. Colvin much more involved on defense in this drive but KSU still completing passes
* Key play has been a Frank Shannon PI call where he just grabbed Thompson's shoulder pad.
* I almost get the sense OU coaches told defenders to grab guys if they are going to run by you to not give up anymore long TD passes.
* Sooner defense holds KState, who will try a 28-yard FG.Kick is good.

* Another big 3rd-down completion for Trevor Knight.
* Sooners are 8-of-11 on 3rd down conversions with 2:37 remaining in the third quarter.
* Brennan Clay with some more nice runs in this third quarter. He just really fits with this offense.
* Knight nearly throws a pick with OU driving just in KSU territory.

3-and-out leads to quick punt.
Punt by KSU comes out of their own endzone and it is short. Jalen Saunders recognizes, runs up on it, makes catch in full stride and bolts for the endzone.
He almost scores but is taken down at the 3-yard line.
KSU punt team didn't even know where the ball was going, by the time Saunders caught it, it was too late for KSU to react.
