Thibodeaux Picking up Torch

About the same time that Isaiah Thomas was blowing up in the recruiting world the Sooners were searching for a new defensive line coach, a position they eventually filled with former Sooner defensive end Calvin Thibodeaux. Since then the two have been in frequent contact as the relationship continues to develop.

Furthering that connection, Thomas made his second trip to Norman in as many months and his first since Thibodeaux became a Sooner assistant.

Thomas' Take

"Everything went great, I loved it up there," Thomas said of his Norman visit.

"No not nothing new really. I just went to the practice and talked to the players and coaches. [I also] got to see Sam Bradford and Charles Tapper," he explained.

"It was great meeting (Thibodeaux) in person. He's a real cool guy," he said. "We've been talking ever since he has been on the staff."

Next on the Schedule

Thomas is working to try and set up several trips, including Texas A&M, but only seems sure of trips to Oklahoma State and Oklahoma in April.
