Wallace Searching for Family Atmosphere

Tylan Wallace has always identified as an athlete and a football player, but the junior wide receiver of Fort Worth (Texas) South Hills could not envision that his journey within the sport would lead him to being recruited by some of the top programs in college football.
"I've always wanted to play football ever since I was little. I was always good at football but I never thought I was going to be this good."

Good would be an understatement to describe the junior season that totaled 59 receptions, 1,439 yards, 23 touchdowns and garnered Wallace the District Offensive MVP award. His play on the field has drawn the attention of college coaches from coast-to-coast and many have found their way to South Hills to check in on the star receiver. Oregon and Arizona State just visited the school with the Sun Devils extending an offer.
Oklahoma has already offered the 2017 three-star, but that didn't stop their offensive coordinator from making a trip of his own to the metroplex.
"Coach (Lincoln) Riley came by. I like how cool his personality is - he seems like a cool coach to have and he says that I fit in his offense really good."
Wallace currently holds nine offers and has no timeline for the recruiting process, but admits two schools are currently sticking out.
"I like OU because they are like a family over there and the coaches are really cool guys. I like SMU because the coaches really care about the players over there."
Wallace's recruitment will have an interesting dynamic, as his twin brother, Tracin Wallace, is the quarterback for South Hills and currently holds six offers of his own. However, Oklahoma is not currently one of them.
The siblings would love to continue their football careers with each other, but also understand the realities of having two different recruitments.
"Me and my brother plan on going to college together, but if we have to separate then we will. He says that he will play wherever he has too."
That understanding comes from the Wallace family's care for one another's well-being and If a school wants to land Tylan's signature, they'll need to prove similar cohesion.
"I look for how the players are around each other if they act as a family or how well they all get along and if they play as a team."
Wallace, who visited Oklahoma for the West Virginia game with his brother, currently holds offers from Arizona State, Florida International, Houston, Michigan, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, SMU, Tulsa, and Vanderbilt.
