Washington Talks Final Two

HOUSTON - Rivals100 safety Bryson Washington surprised many and none when he announced his top two on April 16. His choice of Texas came as no surprise as the Longhorns were thought to be very real contenders for quite some time.

On the other hand his choice of Oklahoma was something that few saw coming. Washington cut his list just after his first trip to Norman - after having to cancel several previous planned trips. And while many had written off the Sooners for the long-time favorites, rumors swirled over the past month that Alex Grinch and co. might have closed real ground.

SCOOPHD went by C.E. King high school to catch up with the nation's No. 69 overall player and discuss his final two.

Washigton, a long and rangy safety who loves to come up and support the run but has the athleticism to work the deep middle has been a focus of the Oklahoma staff as they try and close on the nation's No. 6 safety.
