Point Guard

Overview: Duval is the top-ranked guard in the nation for the class of 2017. The Dallas star is almost unstoppable off-the-dribble, as he can break down a defense and penetrate the lane at will. Possesses the explosion for ferocious dunks at the rim as well.

Oklahoma's Chances: The nation's No. 1 point guard has visited Norman and continues to claim that the Sooners are in the mix. Oklahoma is enamored with Duval's game, but must find a way to navigate the recruitment of this five-star point guard with the next player on this list. - 7/5/16

Overview: An elite scorer that can you off the dribble or light it up from outside. Was very impressive at Rivals Thanksgiving Hoopfest - averaging 37.5 points and 6.5 assists in two games. Led Norman North to state title game as the state's highest ranked basketball prospect since Xavier Henry in 2009.

Oklahoma's Chances: Young's recent decision to remain at Norman North for his senior season rather than attend a national elite prep school was great news for the Sooners, who will now continue to see the five-star on a regular basis. However, they will have to fight off Kentucky, Duke, Kansas, and every other team in the country pursuing the country's top shooter until the very end. - 7/5/16

Overview: A bigger, lankier point guard that is at his best creating offense and slashing through defenses.

Oklahoma's Chances: Chandler plans to trim his lengthy list of schools very shortly and the Sooners are easily expected to make the cut. The Katy four-star has visited Norman and is close friends with current OU freshman guard Kameron McGusty. - 4/25/16

Overview: Batts is a bouncy, slashing, athletic point guard that can take defenders off the dribble on both sides and has a knack for finishing around the rim. The North Carolina Rivals150 guard has torn up the summer circuit and made a name for himself as a prospect on the rise.

Oklahoma's Chances: While he may be tough to pull out of ACC country, none of the North Carolina big-wigs have gotten involved yet and the Sooners did just pull Jordan Shepherd out of the Tar Heel State. - 7/5/16

Overview: An exceptional ball-handler that has been impressing those at Plano West since he was a freshman.

Oklahoma's Chances: The Sooners may be wanting to see how things go with other point guard targets before pushing too hard on Giles, who seems to like SMU at the moment. - 12/21/15

Shooting Guard

Overview: One of the most dangerous shooters in the country from the outside. O'Bannon Jr.'s length also creates a match-up nightmare for opponents.

Oklahoma's Chances: It's difficult to imagine O'Bannon Jr. not ultimately choosing his father's alma mater, UCLA. However, North Carolina State and other schools have piqued his interest at exploring options, which includes Oklahoma. - 4/25/16

Small Forward

Overview: One of the most NBA-ready prospects in the country. Porter is an effortless scorer that can fill up a stat sheet and play solid defense.

Oklahoma's Chances: The Sooners remain in the nation's No. 2 overall player's top five. However, Porter's father was recently hired at the University of Washington, whose head coach - Lorenzo Romar - is also Porter's godfather. - 7/5/16

Overview: A highly athletic and versatile player that is a throwback by doing most of his scoring damage inside the arc. On defense, his frame leads to deflections, blocks, and steals, which makes him a nuisance on both ends.

Oklahoma's Chances: Oklahoma has long been a quiet player in Harvey's recruitment, who is now telling the Sooner staff that he will be taking an official visit to Norman this fall. It's still a long-shot, but OU continues to be involved here. - 7/5/16

Overview: Plays much bigger than his already impressive frame and can rack up points while making it look easy.

Oklahoma's Chances: Tucker appears to be highly unlikely to wind up in Norman. - 12/21/15

Overview: An explosive athlete with a 40-inch vertical leap that can play above the rim down low and make shots from the outside.

Oklahoma's Chances: Alexander has serious interest in Oklahoma and is likely to visit Norman before the process is over. - 4/25/16

Overview: The Canadian-born athlete is a rangy forward who can be particularly effective disrupting passing lanes and altering shots on defense.

Oklahoma's Chances: Brissett has kept his recruitment pretty quiet. Although, many see USC as the early leader. - 12/21/15

Overview: Floyd is long and athletic with a tremendous wingspan that makes his shot very difficult to guard.

Oklahoma's Chances: Many expect Floyd to not venture to far from home, with home-state Nevada seen as the popular choice. - 4/25/16

Power Forward

Overview: Gak is a raw, but highly athletic forward that is at his best when facing the basket and taking the defender off the dribble.

Oklahoma's Chances: The Australia native hasn't had much to say about his recent Sooner offer, but the OU staff will have their work cut out for them since schools like Duke and Kansas have thrown their hats in the ring. - 7/5/16

Overview: A tenacious defender that plays with a high motor and has seen steady improvement to his offensive game. John's AAU team is riddled with talent, including five-star guard Gary Trent Jr., so the talented big man has flown somewhat under the radar.

Oklahoma's Chances: Sooners assistant coach Chris Crutchfield has put OU in a great position with the Minnesota Rivals15o standout. However, the 'sooner' this ends the better for Oklahoma, as John continues to reel in Big 10 offers by the week. - 7/5/16

Overview: Manek is a stretch forward who can be very effective in the pick-and-pop game.

Oklahoma's Chances: COMMITTED TO OKLAHOMA - 12/15/15

Center

Overview: The dominant seven-footer possesses a rare and elite skill-set that will likely make him a high NBA draft pick one day.

Oklahoma's Chances: It appeared as though the Sooners were starting to make a move for the Bahamas native, but the nation's No. 1 overall player hasn't even mentioned OU recently. Oklahoma isn't giving up, but this one looks bleak for those in Crimson and Cream once again. - 7/5/16

Overview: Has work to do to become a more polished product on offense, but his elite defensive skills will bring an immediate impact to wherever he goes.

Oklahoma's Chances: Richards' interest in the Sooners has picked up recently, as OU has appeared to move on from Marques Bolden to a 2017 five-star center. - 4/25/16
