A Sooner WR Ready to Help?

So the current Sooners may not have put out the effort than many had expected but their future teammates did plenty to say that 'help is on the way'. With Oklahoma's passing game at it's most shaky of the season an incoming freshman wide receiver had a massive night and took home MVP honors. Take a look at what was a big week for Future Sooners.

The Skinny: Asamoah did his part offensively with a 30-yard touchdown run in DeSales' 28-3 win over Trenton Edgewood.

Next Week: DeSales (5-2) is traveling to Bishop Hartley.

The Skinny: Austin and Lancaster had the week off.

Next Week: Lancaster (2-3) is hosting Mansfield Summit.

The Skinny: Baldwin had his season ended in the season opener with a knee injury but in spite of his absence Falls got their second straight win, this one over Cypress Springs 14-10.

Next Week: Cy-Falls (2-2) is hosting Cypress Woods on Thu., Oct. 12.

The Skinny: Another big night for Bridges who had five catches for 93-yards and three touchdowns (14, 20, 5) during Hebron's 56-17 blowout of Hurst L.D. Bell.

The Skinny: Carter had a huge 78-yard touchdown to open scoring for Aledo as they downed Saginaw 52-7.

Next Week: Aledo (5-0) is traveling to Azle.

The Skinny: Crawford, in just his second game of the season, had a huge night with three carries for 123-yards and a 94-yard touchdown along with six catches for 90-yards and a 57-yard touchdown in Rockdale's 49-14 demolition of Little River Academy.

Next Week: Rockdale (3-2) is hosting Troy.

The Skinny: Edwards and Deerfield Beach's defense just keep dominating but it wasn't enough as Deerfield Beach fell to national powerhouse St. Thomas Aquinas, 14-0.

Next Week: Deerfield Beach (3-2) is traveling to Stoneman Douglas.

The Skinny: Fields had a big 35-yard fumble return for touchdown as he and the Redskins ran over Moore, 70-0.

Next Week: Union (6-0) is hosting Norman North.

The Skinny: Johnson did a bit of everything for Brenham in their 51-20 win over Waller. He had 7 carries for 91-yards and two touchdowns (35, 7) along with three receptions for 66-yards.

Next Week: Brenham (3-1) is hosting Tomball Memorial.

The Skinny: Kelley was a difference maker in a run defense that stifled Moore, 70-0, including a hand in at least one tackle for loss.

Next Week: Union (6-0) is hosting Norman North.

The Skinny: Aledo kept rolling with a 52-7 win over Saginaw but McLellan is still out with an injury.

Next Week: Aledo (5-0) is traveling to Azle.

The Skinny: Moore, who is out due to injury, watched as his team came up with a 44-38 win over Dodge City.

Next Week: Independence C.C. (5-1) is traveling to Highland C.C. on Sat., Oct. 14.

The Skinny: Mordecai had another big night going 13-22 for 255-yards and four touchdowns along with nine carries for 53-yards and a 17-yard touchdown as Midway downed Harker Heights 42-9.

Next Week: Midway (6-0) is traveling to Killeen on Thu., Oct. 12.

The Skinny: Pledger seemed to have his biggest game of the year as IMG downed Venice, Fla. 38-12. He had a pair of touchdown runs (10, 35) on the night.

Next Week: IMG (5-0) has the week off.

The Skinny: Rattler helped his Pinnacle team dominate Boulder Creek, 68-13. In one half, and a series, Rattler had five (14, 8, 54, 4, 15) touchdown passes on the night.

Next Week: Pinnacle (5-3) is hosting O'Connor.

The Skinny: Redmond just keeps demolishing opponents. He helped a dominant Midwest City defense to a 27-3 over fellow state-ranked team, Choctaw. On the night he had four tackles for loss.

Next Week: Midwest City (5-1) is hosting Putnam City West.

The Skinny: Robinson and All Saints bounced back nicely from a week off with a dominating 47-10 win over Dallas Christian. Robinson more than did his part with seven receptions for 157-yards and a 19-yard touchdown catch.

Next Week: All Saints (5-0) is traveling to Alvin Shadow Creek.

The Skinny: For the second straight week Northwest's offense sputtered, particularly on the ground with just 66-yards rushing, and also for the second straight week Northwest fell. This time 37-14 to Ft. Worth Brewer.

Next Week: Northwest (3-2) is traveling to Saginaw.

The Skinny: Prestonwood and Stogner won their fourth in a row with a 53-7 demolition of Parish Episcopal. On the night he had three receptions for 56-yards and a 13-yard touchdown.

Next Week: Prestonwood (4-1) is traveling to Bishop Lynch.

The Skinny: Tatum and the Pirates got back on the winning track with the defense leading the way in a 21-11 win over rival Putnam City West.

Next Week: Putnam City (5-1) is hosting Deer Creek.

The Skinny: Taylor was the key piece in Ridgeway tearing down a district foe, Brighton, that was previously undefeated in district play 44-22. On the night he had seven catches for 223-yards and four touchdowns including scores of 22, 20, and 80.

Next Week: Ridgeway (4-4) has the week off.

The Skinny: Thomas had a huge night downing Meadowdale 66-8. Thomas did it all with multiple touchdowns, including a 73-yard screen pass catch and run.

Next Week: Dunbar (5-2) is traveling to Cincinnati Taft.

The Skinny: Turner-Yell and Hempstead had the week off.

Next Week: Hempstead (2-2) is traveling to Winnie East Chambers.

The Skinny: Westmoore was facing their 'first big test' against an East side power and found themselves wanting after a 41-7 drubbing at the hands of Broken Arrow. Offensively the Jaguars managed just 35-yards rushing.

Next Week: Westmoore (5-1) is traveling to Norman on Thu., Oct. 12.
