Brown Does for OU

The weekend may not have gone well for the Sooners but the following week made up for it as Justin Broiles announced his decision at lunch on Monday while fellow Rivals250 in-state cornerback Tre Brown bookended the in-state defensive back commitments by committing to the Sooners moments ago.

The state of Oklahoma's No. 3 prospect, and the nation's No. 177 overall player, chose Oklahoma over offers from Oregon, Arizona State, Ole Miss, Kansas State, Penn State and numerous others.

Brown has been a starter at Tulsa Union since he was a sophomore and capped a solid junior year off by leading the Redskins to the 6A-1 state runner-up performance following which he began to pick up more and more offers. Included in those offers was one from Oklahoma that was made during a junior day visit to Norman on Feb. 13.

SoonerScoop.com will have more on this developing story shortly.
