Commits Down Elite Teams

Oklahoma currently has 20 commitments between the 2022 and 2023 classes and as we do every year it's time for Future Sooners to review each of their games and see how things are going as they start to hit their stride. Take a look and see who shined brightest and took home this week's MVP.

The Skinny: Katy crushed Houston Stratford 59-7 and Anderson had a strong role with three receptions for 103 yards and a touchdown.

Next Week: Katy (12-0) is meeting Houston C.E. King in the third round of the Texas 6A division two playoffs.

The Skinny: Bates and Durango fought hard but came up just short of Mead, 14-13 in the state quarterfinals. Durango had a chance to tie the game but went for two and came up short and could not get the ball back again afterward.

Next Week: Durango (9-3) ended their season in the quarterfinals of the Colorado 3A playoffs.

The Skinny: Seguin ended their season at 4-5.

The Skinny: Brown and Mater Dei got a real run from Corona Centennial but thanks to a big night from their star back they found a way to a 21-16 win. Brown had a pair of touchdowns, including one that has people buzzing, and over 100 yards rushing.

Next Week: Mater Dei (10-0) is meeting Anaheim Servite in the finals of the California Division one CIF Southern Section Playoffs.

The Skinny: Lakeland (9-2) ended their season in the first round of the Florida 7A state playoffs.

The Skinny: Another highly ranked opponent and another devastating win for the machine that is the 2021 Bixby Spartans. This time Stillwater was downed 48-6 while Hasz had three catches for 36 yards.

Next Week: Bixby (12-0) is meeting Deer Creek in the finals of the Oklahoma 6A-II playoffs at UCO's Wantland stadium Thursday, Dec. 2 at 7p.

The Skinny: West (10-2) ended their season in the semifinals of the Nebraska Class A playoffs.

Next Week: N/A.

The Skinny: Hunter and West Orange-Stark are starting to see themselves pushed a bit but still managed to down Jasper 20-7. It wasn't a pretty game but after falling behind 7-0 early Hunter helped an offense score 20 straight points for the playoff win.

Next Week: West Orange-Stark (10-1) is meeting Bellville in the third round of the 4A division two playoffs at New Caney's Randall Reed stadium.

The Skinny: Inniss and American Heritage went up against fellow South Florida power, Miami Central, and were downed 41-28. But Inniss ended his season, still playing quarterback ,with a touchdown passes and being the guy who breathed some real life into the offense in the second half of the year.

Next Week: American Heritage (6-4) ended their season in the second round of the Florida 5A state playoffs.

The Skinny: Los Alamitos (9-2) ended their season in the first round of the California Division one CIF Southern Section Playoffs.

The Skinny: Lewis had a sack on the night as Carthage just keeps rolling, this time downing Hamshire-Fannett 42-14.

Next Week: Carthage (11-0) is meeting China Spring in the third round of the Texas 4A division two playoffs at Prosper.

The Skinny: Llewellyn had a nice catch up the sideline but it was a drop in the bucket as Aledo crushed another opponent, this time Frisco Liberty, 57-14.

Next Week: Aledo (12-0) is meeting South Oak Cliff in the third round of the Texas 5A division two playoffs at Mansfield, Texas' Newsom stadium at 2p Friday.

The Skinny: McKinzie's team seems to be hitting its stride at the right time and crushed another helpless opponent, Parkland, 51-14. McKinzie himself had a sack on the night.

Next Week: Cooper (11-1) is meeting Grapevine in the third round of the Texas 5A division two playoffs in Abilene.

The Skinny: Los Alamitos (9-2) ended their season in the first round of the California Division one CIF Southern Section Playoffs.

The Skinny: Moore and St. Frances pulled off one of the biggest wins of any team this season as they downed fellow powerhouse IMG Academy 34-24. Moore had at least one sack and was a constant disruption for St. Frances as he finished his senior year in a big way.

Next Week: St. Frances ended their season at 8-1.

WEEK 12 MVP

The Skinny: Los Alamitos (9-2) ended their season in the first round of the California Division one CIF Southern Section Playoffs.

The Skinny: Hendrickson ended their season at 4-6.

The Skinny: After a huge performance last week Rowe was more quiet but helped shut down the Broken Arrow passing game - at least in his direction - for the Redskins as they downed Broken Arrow 17-14.

Next Week: Union (11-1) is meeting Jenks in the finals of the Oklahoma 6A-I playoffs at UCO on Dec. 4, 2021.

The Skinny: Sawchuk and Valor Christian got pushed more than some expected but pulled out a 17-7 win. Sawchuk was the workhorse for Valor with 39 carries for 174 yards.

Next Week: Valor Christian (12-0) is meeting Grandview in the semifinalsof the Colorado 5A state playoffs.

The Skinny: Sexton and the Antlers are doing unprecedented things, this time taking Deer Creek to the 6A-II state finals after they downed Sand Springs 20-17. Sexton started at nose tackle on defense and of course at tackle on offense and was 'dominant' on both sides of the ball.

Next Week: Deer Creek (10-2) is meeting Bixby in the finals of the Oklahoma 6A-II playoffs at UCO's Wantland stadium Thursday, Dec. 2 at 7p.

The Skinny: Spears-Jennings and Broken Arrow fell behind early but had some outstanding moments to fight back before falling in a tight one to rivals Union, 17-14 in the state semifinals. Spears-Jennings had a 39-yard go-ahead touchdown and would have had another miraculous score to give the Tigers a second lead but it was called back on an illegal man downfield. He also had some big plays, including a key third down stop on defense.

Next Week: Broken Arrow (8-4) ended their season in the semifinals of the Oklahoma 6A-I playoffs.

The Skinny: Gorman and Taylor crushed McQueen 56-7 on their way to yet another state title in Nevada. Taylor was his dominant self in the run game but also went above and beyond with a 5-yard touchdown to open Gorman's scoring effort.

Next Week: Gorman (12-1) ended their season as Nevada's 5A state champions.

The Skinny: It seems that Webb was saving himself for the bright lights. After a very quiet season he started the playoffs with 12 carries for 157 yards and three touchdowns for Trinity Christian. It helped his team to a 44-7 win.

Next Week: Trinity Christian (7-4) is hosting Quincy Munroe n the quarterfinals of the Florida 2A state playoffs.

The Skinny: Booker T. (8-2) ended their season in the first round of the Oklahoma 6A-II playoffs.
