Don't Blink on Robinson

Oklahoma's 2018 wide receiver recruiting has been on a massive role over since Friday, picking up three of it's four, expected, commitments. On Monday afternoon it was Fort Worth Paschal four-star receiver Jaylon Robinson's turn.

The one-time Tech commitment picked Oklahoma over a slew of other offers but just what are the Sooners getting in the 5-foot-10, 165-pound pass-catcher?

The first thing that jumps out on tape for many will be Robinson's big-play speed and while it's certainly a strength of his game it seems the real hallmark of his ability is his acceleration. Watch as Robinson takes one handoff, kickoff, or pass after another and is to full stride within a mere matter of steps.

Robinson is a player SoonerScoop.com had a chance to see in person this spring at the Dallas Rivals camp and his lateral speed and quickness stood out even amongst some of the region's most elite athletes. But that being said, unlike many with such natural explosion in and out of cuts Robinson isn't a player who dances around endlessly, instead he picks a running lane and immediately works to get North and South.

Robinson may not be the biggest receiver but he shows willingness to go across the middle when the need arises.
