In late April the, now, No. 152 player in the country, and No. 8 strongside defensive end, had looked certain to become a Sooner until the final 24 hours before his announcements in the Pirates' gymnasium.

Since then he has stayed in contact with Sooners defensive line coach Calvin Thibodeaux, defensive coordinator Mike Stoops, as well as recent contact with Oklahoma's new head man Lincoln Riley. And with the legwork put in Oklahoma lands one of the state's most intriguing talents.
