On Sunday evening Charlotte (N.C.) Vance three-star tight end prospect Jeremiah Hall announced his commitment to Oklahoma almost a month to the day of picking up his Sooners scholarship offer, May 10. The 6-foot-3, 225-pound prospect chose Oklahoma over offers from Maryland, Pittsburgh, and North Carolina State amongst several other offers.
Though some may be surprised to hear that Oklahoma would take another tight end prospect but judging by the pictures used in his tweet, as well as some of the word gathered from sources, it seems all but certain Hall is seen as the heir apparent to current Sooner fullback/hback Dimitri Flowers.
And his fit in Oklahoma's offense was a big part of Hall's choice of the Sooners.
"Most importantly, Lincoln Riley's offense is a great fit for me," Hall explained.
While Riley was winning over Hall's mind with his abilities as an offensive coordinator it was another second-year staffer that won the heart of Hall and his family.
"Coach (Jay) Boulware - my recruiter - took the time to do something no other school did. He made sure my parents were involved throughout the process. (It) just shows the type of character he, as well as the staff has," he said.
Hall is currently ranked as the nation's No. 22 tight end.
