Oklahoma Building In-Roads Back into Illinois

After visiting Oklahoma last weekend the word that the Sooners were in great shape with Midlothian (Ill.) Bremen three-star running back David Smith. In fact rumors swirled that the 6-foot-1, 190-pound star had told the Sooners he would be joining them in the summer. However, when pressed on that he denied any such report saying that he would be addressing everything when he announced his college decision on Tuesday.
At that announcement it seems that his return home was a confirmation of his thoughts by some of his closest confidantes.

"I talked it over with my parents, my coach, and next fall I'll be attending the university of Oklahoma," Smith said at a press conference at Bremen high school just moments ago.
SoonerScoop.com caught up with him just briefly after his announcement and though we'll have more later he admits the situation is hard to believe.
"Shoot, I'm just excited, I don't know. I'm just excited about this, I don't know what to say really. It's crazy man," Smith, who had 95-carries for 533-yards and six touchdowns said.
"I mean, it's a dream come true."
SoonerScoop.com will have more from Smith later this evening.
