Podcast: Quentin Griffin joins 33 Belly

During this edition of ’33 Belly’, the SoonerScoop.com official team podcast named after the play call used during J.D. Runnels’ only carry of his playing career at OU, we welcome in the Texas killer, Quentin Griffin.
Griffin sits in the OU record books as the programs third all-time leading rusher for his career behind Adrian Peterson and Billy Sims.

Griffin scored 6 touchdowns against the Longhorns during the 2000 63-14 blowout win that catapulted the team into Red October and a national championship run. Griffin also rushed for 248 yards against Texas in 2002. The only other Sooner to rush for more yards against the Longhorns was De’Mond Parker in 1997 (291 yards).
Griffin talked about his OU-Texas memories as well as his career at Oklahoma and even had some interesting things to say about Kevin Wilson and the way he rebuilt the OU running game when he took over for Mark Mangino in 2001.
