Rodriguez Switches Position, Commitment

There has been plenty of lamenting about Oklahoma's recruitment in the trenches this year but there was always a qualifier to the complaints; 'except for Dalton Rodriguez, Oklahoma doesn't have a single offensive line commitment'. Well it seems that qualifier is no longer necessary.
That's because the Tulsa Union three-star product has decommitted from Oklahoma and made his plans to be a Tulsa Golden Hurricane defensive lineman.
Rodriguez, who committed to Oklahoma on May 5, has spent his entire career playing defensive end for the Redskins but was offered and committed as an offensive tackle to position coach Bruce Kittle less than a week after he committed.
However, as the season wore on it became clear that Rodriguez was less and less in favor of the idea of playing on offense and preferred to play defense which led to his change of commitment to play for Bill Blankenship and co. which he announced on Twitter on Thursday afternoon.
"Just decommited from OU and now im going to TU! It was a decision that was best for me!"
Friday's Sooner Scoop will have much more on this situation.
