SCOOPHD: Commits Shine in ATL

ATLANTA, Ga. - At last weekend's Rivals100 Five-Star Challenge Oklahoma had three commitments on hand with cornerbacks Trajan Bandy, Tre Brown, and quarterback Chris Robison all flashing their ability last Saturday. Brandy and Robison worked exclusively at their position, and at times flashed real ability, meanwhile Brown played a bit at both.

Below SCOOPHD offers some highlights, along with some thoughts from SoonerScoop.com recruiting editor and co-publisher Josh McCuistion.

Trajan Bandy Highlights

Breakdown: Few players at the camp were more consistent than the Rivals250 cornerback from Miami (Fla.) Columbus. Bandy's physical brand of play made the trip up from South Florida but it wasn't the only way he could win reps. Bandy showed the ability to turn and run and when the ball was in the air few cornerbacks attacked the ball with less concern for their life and limb than Bandy.

Tre Brown Highlights

Breakdown: It's been well documented that Brown might not have put together his best work but it wasn't all bad. Brown's frame, standing against a group of peers that includes the nation's top defensive backs, looked to be a non-issue in spite of concerns that have lingered around him for some time. Brown looked a bit rusty, particularly with his change of direction and just his usual explosion, after spending his spring focused on receiver and fighting off a minor knee injury. Given time Brown will be fine but the weekend may have been just what he needed to get rolling in the right direction for his senior year.

Chris Robison Highlights

Breakdown: At times Robison flashed like the guy who lit the world on fire at the Dallas Rivals Camp Series event but it seemed at times he was pressing to try and keep his team involved during the 7-on-7. Robison only took half of his team's snaps at quarterback, like every signal caller at the event, and seemed to try and make up for the struggles of his quarterback partner. With doing that Robison tried to make some throws that weren't there and just forcing too many passes. Robison still though threw some of the best balls of the camp when he was really rolling.
