SCOOPHD presents Sights Sounds: Louisiana Tech

Shortly after six o'clock a familiar sound began to echo throughout Gaylord Family-Oklahoma Memorial Stadium. The anticipation built. And kept building until the 2014 edition of the Oklahoma Sooners emerged through the southeast tunnel of Owen Field.
It was officially football time in Oklahoma.

For Bob Stoops season openers are an old hat. Saturday's match-up with Louisiana Tech marked his No. 200 game as head coach at Oklahoma.
For others it was on the other end of the spectrum. Fullback Dimitri Flowers, running back Alex Ross, linebacker Jordan Evans, and safety Ahmad Thomas all made their first career starts, while eight others made their first appearances ever in the crimson and cream.
