ScoopRadio: Updates from Westmoore Scrimmage

Today begins the true start of high school football in the state of Oklahoma as scrimmages will be taking place all over the state this weekend - perhaps most notably on Thursday night reemerging Oklahoma City program Westmoore high school will host three other serious 6A playoff contenders, Edmond Santa Fe, Norman North, and Lawton Eisenhower.
SoonerScoop.com's Eddie Radosevich and SCOOP HD will be on hand to watch as Oklahoma prep standouts like Justice Hansen get their 2012 season started.
We'll also be providing instant audio updates on the action through ScoopRadio as Carey Murdock and Radosevich will post updates as they happen right here.
Of course as one of the star-studded class of 2014's biggest names Hansen will draw loads of attention and rightfully so following a sophomore season that saw him throw for 2,917 yards and 27 touchdowns as a freshman. After a tour of camps in the spring and summer Hansen's profile has only grown and going into his junior season is one of the bigger names in Oklahoma high school football.
However, there is plenty of other talent that will be at Moore stadium on Thursday night, among his own teammates are Arkansas commitment Khari Harding and Harding's classmates Trevan Smith, Dale Jefferson, and Phillip Sumpter along with Hansen's classmate Cameron Westbrook at running back. The group makes up one of the state's most talented collections of skill position talent.
While Harding and Hansen are long-known names a name that great upped his profile this summer is Norman North linebacker Jordan Evans. After showing up at Oklahoma's camp and putting on a stellar performance he now holds offer from Navy, New Mexico, and Ohio with many more figuring to come in short order for the 6-foot-3, 205-pound prospect.
As for the home squad a trio of seniors have picked up early attention with receiver/defensive back Jhames West leading linebacker Josh Morgan and offensive lineman Nick Hardaway. West is a multi-purpose athlete who was solid at January's Army All-American combine while Hardaway impressed many with his powerlifting numbers in the off-season and Morgan with his open field tackling ability last fall.
The final piece of the puzzle is the always talented Lawton Eisenhower, a program that head coach Boone Copeland has taken to the playoffs the last two years in spite of the Eagles being down in talent from their glory years of the past. Eisenhower has some interesting young talent coming through the pipe and the scrimmage could be the first chance to put it on display.
*SCOOP HD will also be at Spring (Texas) Klein Oak practice on Thursday to check out Sooners 2014 linebacker offer Josh Mabin.
*Then on Friday morning SCOOP HD will be at Brenham, Texas high school to watch Manvel, Texas Sooners commitment Austin Bennett take on 2014 Brenham cornerback offer Darrion Johnson. It will also be another chance to watch Bennett's teammate, 2014 Sooners offer Manvel tight end Koda Martin.
