Sooners Keep Rolling in Waco

Following the commitment of Marcus Walker in 2004 it took Oklahoma over a decade to make a dent in Waco, Texas high school recruiting when Kahlil Haughton committed to the Sooners last Winter. It took them less than a year to return again when La Vega high school cornerback Parrish Cobb announced his commitment to Oklahoma on Saturday night.
"This recruiting process has been an unbelievable experience. I'm proud to say that I've committed to the University of Oklahoma," Cobb said via Twitter.

The 5-foot-11, 175-pound prospect, chose Oklahoma over an impressive offer list that includes Arizona St., Arkansas, Baylor, Oregon, Texas, and Wisconsin amongst many others.
Cobb, who has been relatively quiet throughout his recruitment is the cousin of fellow Oklahoma cornerback offer Eric Cuffee took home the Rivals Speed and Skills Challenge defensive back MVP after visiting the Sooners second junior day.
"That (junior day) visit went really well. They have one of the most impressive faciltiies and coaching staffs. They were talking to me about when I get there and my playing time and all of that. That's what I'm looking for in a college and they made a big impression," he said back in late March following his visit.
Cobb has dealt with both Oklahoma's first-year secondary coach Kerry Cooks and defensive graduate assistant Chip Viney.
"Coach Cooks is a real good dude, he knows when to be funny, when to be serious. I don't like coaches to play, I like them to be hard on you. I saw the relationship he had with his players and that's what I'd like to have," he said in the same ScoopHD interview.
