The Daley Show visiting Oklahoma?
Amidst the surging typhoon that has been Oklahoma football recruiting to start the 2017 class, an offer to a three-star Florida defensive end may have flown under the radar.
Riviera Beach (Fla.) Suncoast weakside defensive end K’Jakyre Daley has burst onto the recruiting scene lately, garnering offers from all over the country – including the SEC, Pac-12, ACC, and Big 12.
The 6-foot-4, 215-pound pass-rusher they call "Pnut" possesses a heap-load of raw, natural talent and a frame that suggests he could possibly evolve into a defensive terror. However, a couple of other p-words have been attached to Daley – “potential” and “project”.
One coach who is a believer in Daley’s potential is the Sooners’ former graduate assistant/recruiting savant and newest quality control coach:
“Coach (Chip) Viney and I stay in touch all the time,” Daley announced, “He always checks up on me and how he thinks I’ll fit perfectly in their defense.”
The relationship between "Pnut" and Oklahoma has blossomed despite the 1,500 mile separation between the land-locked state and Daley’s Riviera Beach community. OU has found success building these connections due to a convergence of factors; staff members like Viney’s dogged pursuit, the team’s College Football Playoff appearance a year ago, and the intangible momentum built through landing 12 commitments and nine four-stars before May.
Regardless of reason, the bottom line is they have caught the attention of Daley.
“They’re high on my list,” he admitted, “I want to take an official visit up there for sure.”
Daley holds scholarship offers from Arizona, Kentucky, Mississippi State, Oklahoma, Syracuse, Tennessee, and UCF, among others.

"I've had it since birth. I had a peanut head when I was born, so I was stuck with it ever since haha!"
