The New Guy Takes Home MVP

Oklahoma's prospects are starting to see their seasons come to a close as well as some who are getting ready for deep playoff runs. And though many of the names are familiar this week's MVP winner was playing only his first game as an Oklahoma commitment.

The Skinny: Asamoah and DeSales ended their season at 6-4.

The Skinny: Austin and Lancaster's defense did their part but four turnovers hurt the Tigers in a 30-16 loss to rival Waxahachie.

Next Week: Lancaster (4-5) is hosting Midlothian.

The Skinny: Baldwin had his season ended in the season opener with a knee injury and Falls fell for the second straight week, falling 42-14 to Cy-Fair.

Next Week: Cy-Falls (4-4) is traveling to Cy-Creek.

The Skinny: Bridges had a steady night with eight receptions for 64-yards including a 29-yard touchdown in Hebron's 34-27 win over Lewisville.

Next Week: Hebron (7-2) is hosting Southlake Carroll.

The Skinny: Carter had an 11-yard reception as well as an interception in Aledo's 48-0 domination of Justin Northwest.

Next Week: Aledo (9-0) is traveling to Saginaw Boswell.

The Skinny: Crawford and Rockdale came up just short of their hopes of a district title in a 37-34 loss to Franklin. Crawford had a strong night, that included a recovered onside that almost set up a last second comeback for Rockdale.

Next Week: Rockdale (6-3) is hosting Jarrell.

The Skinny: Deerfield Beach's defense continues to look like one of not only Florida's, but the country's, best downing Coral Springs 63-6.

Next Week: Deerfield Beach (8-2) is hosting Davie Western in the first round of the Florida 8A playoffs.

The Skinny: Union got another win, downing Mustang 48-28 as they completed another undefeated season.

Next Week: Union (10-0) is hosting Edmond Santa Fe in the first round of the 6A-1 playoffs.

The Skinny: It was a tough night for Johnson and Brenham as they fell to Huntsville 26-14. Johnson had six carries for 32-yards and one 7-yard reception.

Next Week: Brenham (6-2) is hosting Magnolia.

The Skinny: Union, with Kelly's help, on a one-yard touchdown reception helped the Redskins finish an undefeated regular season with a 48-28 win over Mustang.

Next Week: Union (10-0) is hosting Edmond Santa Fe in the first round of the 6A-1 playoffs.

The Skinny: McClellan came back last week but really got moving on Friday night with 13 carries for 179-yards and five touchdowns (3, 6, 9, 14, 94) as Aledo downed Justin Northwest 48-0.

Next Week: Aledo (9-0) is traveling to Saginaw Boswell.

The Skinny: Moore, who is out for the season with injury, looked on as Independence came up just short against Butler C.C., 31-27.

Next Week: Independence C.C. (7-1) is hosting Coffeyville C.C. on Sat., Nov. 11.

The Skinny: Mordecai was 16-30 for 280-yards and seven touchdowns along with 63-yards and a touchdown on 10-carries as Midway crushed Killeen Shoemaker, 63-22.

Next Week: Midway (9-0) is hosting Killeen Ellison on Thu., Nov. 9.

The Skinny: Perkins and Lutheran North got a huge win over state No. 2 Trinity Catholic, 48-46. Along with being a big blocking part of North's potent ground game, Perkins had a two-point conversion, a 33-yard touchdown catch and run, four-yard sack, and several tackles, including one on Catholic's game-tying two-point conversion attempt.

Next Week: North (12-0) meets Caruthersville in the quarterfinals of the Missouri Class Two State Playoffs.

The Skinny: IMG, without an injured Pledger, downed fellow powerhouse program, Hoover, Ala. 32-21.

Next Week: IMG (7-0) is hosting Virginia Beach (Va.) Bishop Sullivan Catholic on Sat., Nov. 11.

The Skinny: The reality that Rattler's stat line of 13-24 passing for 225-yards and three touchdowns (37, 16, 1), along with six carries for 48-yards and one 23-yard reception was one of his more modest games of the second half of the season says a lot. It was all part of a 52-7 downing of Cesar Chavez.

Next Week: Pinnacle (9-3) is meeting Chandler in the second round of the Arizona 6A State Playoffs.

The Skinny: Midwest City took out No. 4 Stillwater to clinch a district title for the second straight year.

Next Week: Midwest City (9-1) is hosting Sand Springs in the first round of the Oklahoma 6A-2 playoffs.

The Skinny: Robinson had his most quiet night of the season with two carries for 19-yards and one reception for 11-yards. But All Saints was more than ok with things downing Brownsville St. Joseph 42-8.

Next Week: All Saints (8-0) is hosting San Antonio Central Catholic

The Skinny: Simpson wasn't able to make up the difference against one of Texas's most talented teams - Aledo. Northwest was able to manage just 250-yards of offense against the Bearcats.

Next Week: Northwest (5-4) is hosting Azle.

The Skinny: In a drubbing of John Paul II Stogner helped Prestonwood with four catches for 66-yards and a touchdown.

Next Week: Prestonwood (7-2) is traveling to Trinity Christian-Addison.

The Skinny: The Pirates got back on track with a 52-14 demolition of Enid in the regular season finale. Tatum had two sacks, and 10 tackles for Putnam City.

Next Week: Putnam City (7-3) is traveling to Tulsa Booker T. Washington in the first round of the Oklahoma 6A-2 playoffs.

The Skinny: Taylor fractured his pelvis a few weeks ago and wasn't part of his team's season-ending 42-24 loss to Henry County.

Next Week: Ridgeway (5-6) ended their season in the first round of the Tennessee 5A Division 1 playoffs.

The Skinny: Thomas, had another huge night helping his team to a first round playoff win, 28-27 over Goshen. He had three touchdown runs (68, 3, 3), and a two point-conversion in a huge night for Dunbar.

Next Week: Dunbar (8-3) is meeting Trotwood-Madison in the second round of the Ohio Division three playoffs.

The Skinny: In a tough 25-24 loss to La Marque, Turner-Yell did his part with three tackles, one tackle for loss, 92-yards rushing, a two-point conversion, and two touchdown runs (1, 13).

Next Week: Hempstead (3-5) is hosting Hardin.

The Skinny: Westmoore, helped in no small part by their star tackle, rushed for 373-yards in a 35-21 win over Yukon in their regular season finale.

Next Week: Westmoore (8-2) is traveling to Owasso in the first round of the Oklahoma 6A-1 playoffs.
