The Pledger Projections

Whether it's on the field or recruiting for Oklahoma, the Sooners Rivals100 running back commitment T.J. Pledger hits the ground running.

With that in mind SoonerScoop.com has decided to create a feature with the nation's No. 35 player and No. 5 running back. Pledger sat down with us and discussed six of Oklahoma's top current targets, as voted upon by SoonerScoop members, many of which he has a close relationship with.

So where do the Sooners stand with some of their most important targets? At least according to a player in constant contact with many of them?

Find out below.

The Lead-in: Cain, a Denton, Texas native, transferred to IMG over the winter but has never seemed to lose interest in the Sooners - even making a recent trip to Norman.

T.J. Pledger: "My little brother in the back field with me. He will be great one day and he considers OU very heavily, especially wanting to continue our duo in college."

The Lead-in: Since very early in his recruitment Dunlap has been open about his affinity for the Sooners but, as of yet, has not made it to Norman. That being said he has admitted that the Sooners are the one official he is sure of this fall.

TJP: "My brother man, a Great o lineman who I know will be in Norman with me."

The Lead-in: Perkins has long been discussed as one of the Sooners more likely defensive line 'gets'. He is adamant that he will this summer and when he does a decision seems possible.

TJP: "I don't know much about him from what I seen he's a good player and I think once he gets down to Norman he will fall in love. He seems to be on board."

The Lead-in: Trout hasn't yet made it down to Norman but it does sound like a probable stop for him either this fall or summer. The Sooners have a real chance here.

TJP: "I don't know much about him, from what I heard I would love to have in Norman."

The Lead-in: Tuliaupupu has already said he'll visit Oklahoma at some point this summer or fall though things do feel an uphill climb for one of California's best.

TJP: "Solomon, (we're) trying to continue that west coast pipeline."

The Lead-in: Woodbey, from California's current power program, committed to Ohio State in February but has never shut the door on Oklahoma and a few others.

TJP: "All I gotta say is stay tuned...Cali to Norman pipeline will be live in this 2018 class."
