Week in Review: Sooners snag top kicker prospect

It may not have been the headline stealing commitment Oklahoma fans had been salivating for but in terms of need the addition of Belleville (Ill.) West kicker Austin Seibert is one that is worth not overlooking.
In this week's Week in Review installment for the week of May 5 through May 12, SoonerScoop.com Recruiting Editor Josh McCuistion talks on the Sooners latest commitment of Seibert, the No. 1 ranked kicker in the country according to KohlsKicking.com, who gave his pledge to special teams coach Jay Boulware while in Norman this past weekend.

Recently Seibert, who is also ranked as the country's No. 2 punter by KohlsKicking.com, told SoonerScoop.com the Sooners second year assistant coach told him he was the best kicker he had seen following a visit to see talented kicking prospect in person.
While the addition of Seibert is welcomed news to Sooners fans this week's recruiting rewind also takes a closer look at the commitment of Nacogdoches (Texas) 3-star cornerback Jaylon Lane to Oklahoma State. Where do the Sooners currently stand with the talented cornerback?
Those questions are answered and more from McCuistion who has spent time on the road checking-in on a handful of Oklahoma's top prospects in the LoneStar state as they participate in spring football.
